Hasselblad 1600F/1000F

Medium format 6x6 SLR system • Discontinued

Overview

The versatile Hasselblad, the 6x6 Swedish SLR, climbed rapidly to capture an unchallenged position in the world of fine cameras. Its unique design and technical excellence won for it a place of respect and confidence among professionals and advanced amateurs who chose their equipment with consideration and for whom only the best was good enough.

Standard equipment was the 80mm Kodak Ektar f/2.8 lens of the finest optical quality. Additional lenses from Kodak and Carl Zeiss were designed and manufactured especially for the Hasselblad. Speedy interchangeability of lenses was accomplished by a combination of thread and bayonet mount which insured positive locking.
