Sigma YS adapter mounts were available in models to fit popular 35mm SLR cameras. They fitted any YS lens to the particular camera body to provide full automatic operation of the lens diaphragm and meter coupling where appropriate. All YS adapter mounts (and lenses) had the identical specifications as T-mount lenses and adapters. However, with T adapters the operation of YS lenses would be non-automatic.
