Bronica GS-1

Medium format film SLR camera

Announced: Mar 1983
Format: 69 × 56mm
Shutter type: In-lens leaf shutter

The Bronica engineering group developed the GS-1 with the photographer in mind: 6x7 image with capabilities of 6x6, 6x4.5, and Polaroid interchangeable backs, leaf shutter lenses, for full flash synchronization at all shutter speeds, the most compact 6x7 SLR body.

Lenses for the GS-1 range from 50mm to 500mm. Each lens uses the Seiko #0 electronic shutter. This shutter, developed by Bronica, gives a degree of accuracy not available before on this type of camera.
