Manufacturer description

LEICA MP Classic with SUMMICRON-M 1:2/50 mm

Especially for our Asian distributor Schmidt Marketing, Leica Camera AG has produced a special LEICA MP model for the priority country of China. Fifty years after the introduction of the Leica M, this unique set is based on the equipment of the 1956 Leica MP and marks the anniversary in fitting style. The LEICA MP Classic is a completely mechanical camera, i.e. it does not have any electronics, as would be necessary for an exposure meter for example. The photographer sets the exposure based on experience, an estimate or the data from an external exposure meter. The camera is supplied in a set complete with a black lacquered LEICA SUMMICRON-M 1:2/50 mm, the external appearance of which is based on the Summicron-M 1:2/50 mm version from 1954.

The set is a limited edition of 500, and comes complete with a detachable black lacquered metal lens hood and a leather carrying strap. The front lens cap is also made of metal and black lacquered.
