Manufacturer description
This Leica camera proudly bears the symbol of the 1982 Canadian Mount Everest Expedition. It was an unmodified Leica camera, no different from this very model, that faced the challenge of the elements to document the expedition's successful climb to the highest point on the face of the Earth.
From the editor
A special limited LEICA M4-P camera released in 200 units in 1982 to celebrate the scaling of Mount Everest by the Canadian expedition that year. The cameras were black with the expedition logo inscribed on the top plate in white.
