Manufacturer description

From the LEICA photography magazine (1970, No. 1):

A Leica model that combines the silhouette and operating features of the M2 with the quick-loading take-up system introduced in the M4 is now available in limited quantities. It is called the M2R, and is available only with the 50mm Dual-Range Summicron f/2, although it will accept all other Leica lenses and Visoflex models that fit the M2. Like that of the M2, the M2R's viewfinder includes bright-line frames for 35, 50 and 90mm lenses which can be brought into position at will by means of the preview lever, to help in choosing the proper focal length.

The Leica M2R (Cat. No. 98,301), complete with 50mm Dual-Range Summicron f/2 lens, is available at an attractive price.
