Like the APO 35/2 ASPH, this is another lens that TTArtisan touts as a standard for street photography. While faster, the 35/1.4 ASPH is 85g lighter, but that's not surprising: its optical formula is simpler. It also doesn't include any extra-low dispersion elements, which is why the 35/1.4 ASPH doesn't have the APO abbreviation in its name. If you compare the TTArtisan lens with the original Leica Summilux-M 35/1.4 ASPH. (2010), the German lens is 3cm shorter and 105g lighter.
