Manufacturer description

The smc P-FA 100mm F3.5 medium-telephoto lens offers a focal length of 100mm with a 24.5-degree angle of view, allowing the user to capture close-up images from a distance. It features a maximum magnification of 0.5 times at a minimum focusing distance of 1.41 feet, making it ideal for outdoor macro photography, such as close-up images of flowers. As the front section of the lens barrel does not rotate during focus adjustment, it is convenient for the user to take pictures with accessories such as a polarizing or gelatin filter.

Pentax-FA series

The second generation of autofocus lenses designed for Pentax 35mm SLR cameras. Introduced with the Pentax Z-10 in 1991.

  • Lens barrels made from engineering plastic, focusing distance scale behind a window (except certain zoom lenses);
  • "A" setting on the aperture ring for automatic aperture control in the Programmed AE and Shutter-priority AE modes;
  • Automatic focusing using in-camera motor;
  • Support for MTF program line;
  • Support for Power Zoom System.
