From the editor
The lens is fitted with a focus range limiter and AF/manual focus selector switches, but otherwise specifications are the same as for the AI-S version. Many photographers found the play in the focusing ring of this AF version during manual operation, caused by the autofocus drive train rather distracting. Optically though it produces outstandingly sharp images with a high degree of contrast and color saturation.
Notes
- The autofocus will not be available with Nikon D40, D40X, D60, D3000-D3500, D5000-D5600 digital SLR cameras.
