This lens adds extra free working distance for multiple lighting techniques. The lens' 105mm focal length makes it suitable for portrait composition, while close-focusing enables detail work. Close-Range Correction System. Focuses from infinity to 12 inches (1:1 reproduction ratio). A-M (Automatic-Manual) switch. Accepts 52mm filters; HS-7 lens hood.

Medium telephoto macro lens for portrait and other high magnification close-up applications, the AF 105mm f/2.8D Micro provides extra working distance for elusive subjects or ones requiring supplemental illumination. Close-Range Correction (CRC) system provides high performance at near and far focusing distances. Continuous focusing from infinity to life-size (1:1). Close-up to 12.4". Filter size is 52mm.

From the editor

When focusing at infinity, the front element is deeply recessed inside the lens barrel, which eliminates the need for a lens hood. When focusing towards the closest focusing distance, the front element within a lens tube extends outside the lens barrel.

Notes

  • The autofocus will not be available with Nikon D40, D40X, D60, D3000-D3500, D5000-D5600 digital SLR cameras.
