From the editor
A large and heavy standard lens that, although not a professional model, includes many special elements in its optical formula. Although the lens does not have a record-breaking speed, it is enough to shoot in low light conditions, as well as isolate the subject, smoothly blurring the background. When stopping down, 9 aperture blades will keep the out-of-focus highlight's a more rounded shape.
Being an amateur model, the lens does not have a physical aperture ring, so the aperture can only be controlled from the camera. However, there is a focus mode switch. In addition, there are dual function buttons on the lens barrel. Each of them can be assigned a different function. Of course, there is a USB Type C connector at the rear of the lens, which can be used to update the lens firmware.
The DSM stepping motor is responsible for smooth, fast and quiet autofocus.
The Nikon Z-mount version was announced in May 2022.
