A professional short telephoto lens for Fujifilm X series APS-C mirrorless cameras, with a durable metal barrel and complex optical formula from the full-frame 50/1.8 DF DSM. This could not but affect the weight and dimensions of the lens, and they are noticeably larger than those of the budget APS-C 50/1.8 version, including the filter thread.
The function of the only ring on the lens barrel changes depending on the position of the SW switch:
- "I" - the ring adjusts the aperture, the OLED display shows the selected F-value;
- "II" - the ring adjusts the focusing distance, the OLED display shows the selected focusing distance.
There is a USB Type C connector at the rear of the lens, which can be used to update the lens firmware.
