From the editor
A very lightweight budget short telephoto lens for Sony APS-C mirrorless cameras. It has a fairly simple optical formula that does not spoil us with many special elements. Although the lens does not have a record-breaking speed, it is enough to shoot in low light conditions, as well as isolate the subject, smoothly blurring the background.
The closest focusing distance is only 0.45m. In practice, when shooting portraits (head and shoulders / head and chest), focusing distances of 1.5-2m are considered optimal. The DSM stepping motor is responsible for smooth, fast and quiet autofocus.
Since the lens belongs to budget models, it does not have a physical aperture ring, a focus mode switch, or weather sealing. There is a USB Type C connector at the rear of the lens, which can be used to update the lens firmware.
