From the editor
A Chinese clone of the Canon EF 40/2.8 STM. Unlike the original, which was a pancake lens, Yongnuo's dimensions are somewhat larger, so it does not fall into the pancake lens category. Another difference from the original is the use of a micromotor instead of a stepping autofocus motor. And the number of aperture blades is not 7, but 6.
During focusing, the front element moves, but does not extend beyond the lens barrel. During autofocus, the manual focusing ring does not rotate.
The front of the lens has a bayonet mount for a lens hood (code unknown), but the lens was supplied without a dedicated lens hood.
There is a micro USB 2.0 Type B port at the front of the lens, which can be used to update the lens firmware.
