Manufacturer description #1
The wide coverage of the 28mm and 35mm wide-angle lenses adapts them perfectly for use in a restricted space; also for injecting a dynamic effect into landscape photography. They offer an extensive depth of field and an exaggerated perspective effect, and are designed to bring out these characteristic qualities with the greatest impact for superior overall results. Lightweight and ideal for snap-shooting, photographic work where pan-focus effect is desired, as well as for general photography.
Manufacturer description #2
A handy, all-round ultra-wide angle lens, it provides a wider coverage than a 35 mm optic and produces a dynamic effect when shooting.
From the editor
Some Yashica brochures state that this lens has closest focus distance of 0.3m and uses 52mm filters, other say that the closest focusing distance is 0.4m and the filter size is 62mm.
Notes
- Because of the special construction of the mirror, the following Yashinon interchangeable lenses cannot be mounted on the Yashica Electro AX camera: Yashinon-DX 21mm F/3.3, Yashinon-DX 28mm F/2.8, Yashinon-DX 50mm F/2, F/1.7, F/1.4. All other lenses can be used most effectively.
