The lens does not have a focusing distance range limiter, however, this feature was available on Yashica 270 Auto Focus and 300 Auto Focus cameras: in the AF mode, the user could choose between full-range focusing mode, far-distance mode (from infinity to about 3m) and near-distance mode (from about 3m to the closest focusing distance).
