Manufacturer description

The Lytkarino Optical Glass Plant has prepared the "Вега-13А" photo lens for serial production. It is intended as an interchangeable lens for Zenit-type SLR cameras. It is a five-element anastigmat with coated optical surfaces. The "Вега-13А" can be used for black and white and color photography.

The lens has an iris diaphragm, allowing you to change the relative opening from 1:2.8 to 1:16. For ease of use, a pre-set aperture unit has been introduced into the lens design. Pre-setting of the aperture, full aperture opening when focusing on ground glass, and final aperture setting for shooting are all performed by the same front ring, which has a knurling and aperture index.

The focusing ring has a distance scale without lines. The dots on the scale indicate intermediate distances. The lens has a depth of field scale. Each pair of marks, located symmetrically relative to the red index, corresponds to the value of the set aperture.

The lens barrel has a removable adapter ring, which allows the lens to be used with any domestic or foreign SLR camera with a working distance of no more than 47mm.

Light transmission: 0.81. Resolving power, lines/mm: in the center of the field: not less than 47, at the edge of the field: not less than 27.

Notes

  • The lens has an interchangeable mount that is mechanically identical to the T2 interchangeable mount. In the USSR, the following interchangeable mount adapters were produced: "КП-А/42" (T2 - M42x1/45.5), "КП-А/39" (T2 - M39x1/45.2), "КП-А/К" (T2 - Pentax K), "КП-А/Н" (T2 - Nikon F). "КП" is an abbreviation for "Кольцо переходное", which means "Adapter ring".
