Tokina atx-m 33mm F1.4 X incorporates accurate responsive AF system that fully communicates with the camera body. Quiet and fast focusing is realized by ST-M focus motor.

Tokina atx-m 33mm F1.4 X is fully communicable with the camera body to support 5-Axis In-Body Image Stabilization.

Fujifilm's design philosophy has always been to be about dials on the cameras and emulating a traditional film shooting experience. Tokina atx-m 33mm F1.4 X incorporates aperture click-less ring allowing users to smoothly control aperture manually from f/1.4 to f/16 in video mode, but also automatically (position A) via camera setting in still mode.

From the editor

The lens is not Tokina's own development, but is the result of the design and manufacturing efforts of the Chinese company Viltrox. The same applies to the 23/1.4 and 56/1.4 models.

Optically, the lens is in no way a competitor to the XF 35/1.4 R model, which is considered one of the best lenses in the system due to its sharpness, 3D pop effect and beautiful bokeh. Fujifilm's lens is also lighter and more compact. Of course, Tokina's lens has internal focus and more efficient stepping motor compared to the XF's slow all-group focusing with the micromotor, however, if you want fast autofocus and/or smooth focus transitions during video, you can also choose between the XF 35/2 R WR or XC 35/2.
