Manufacturer description
This unit multiplies the focal length and the resulting image size by 1.5 times, but, only increases the aperture by one stop. So, while you enjoy the benefits of a multiplied image size, the lens speed remains extremely fast. Truly, a star in the galaxy of Soligor lenses.
***
Soligor auto teleconverters are constructed of the finest, fully color-corrected optical glass and are supplied in specific mounts for all popular 35mm SLR cameras.
They attach quickly and easily to all fixed focal length and zoom lenses of 50mm or longer, extending the focal length of the lens with which they are being used by 1.5X, 2X or 3X.
Soligor auto teleconverters also effectively increase the magnification ratio of lenses with macro capability.
They retain the automatic coupling of both shutter and aperture metering systems (on cameras featuring these systems) and automatic diaphragm operation.
