Manufacturer description

The МС конвертер К-1 is designed to double the focal length of lenses for small-format ЗЕНИТ-type SLR cameras with M42x1 thread mount. It is a five-lens optical system.

The use of a converter expands the shooting capabilities of the camera while using a minimum number of interchangeable lenses. Having a standard lens and only one accessory lens, you will practically become the owner of four lenses.

The resolution of the lens when working with a converter decreases slightly.

The converter has a special multi-layer coating, as indicated by its marking (МС). Multilayer coating improves image quality and increases its contrast by increasing the integral light transmission and reducing light scattering.

The design of the converter allows you to work with lenses that have a mechanism for pre-selecting the aperture.

From the "СОВЕТСКОЕ ФОТО" (No. 8, 1984)

The Arsenal Plant Production Association has developed the ТК-2 teleconverter and the К-1 converter, intended for use with Zenit-type cameras.

The К-1 converter has a mechanism for controlling the lens aperture, a multi-layer achromatic coating of the optical elements, and provides high image quality when used with any lens with a focal length in the range from 50 to 200mm.

From the editor

This teleconverter was produced by the Vega Plant (Uman, USSR) in the 1980s.

Once the optical system is removed, this teleconverter becomes an automatic extension ring.
