Kenko Tokina Co., Ltd. (Japan) proudly announces the release of the new TELEPLUS HD pro series. TELEPLUS HD pro series will come to replace long seller TELEPLUS PRO300 series with redesigned optics to fit contemporary high-resolution DSLR cameras and lenses. HD pro series will therefore join the existing new generation TELEPLUS HD line up (1.4x and 2x types) as a superior series in terms of optical design and coating quality.

New Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro models:

• TELEPLUS HD pro 1.4x DGX for Nikon F/Canon EF mount
• TELEPLUS HD pro 2x DGX for Nikon F/Canon EF mount

Optical construction has been redesigned by implementing additional optical elements and incorporating improved multi-layer anti-reflection coating to keep intact the original performance of new generation DSLR camera and lenses.

Equipped with all electrical contacts to support communication between the camera and the lens. The focal length and aperture values will be recorded in EXIF data and converted to the actual shooting values with the tele converter installed.

The external design has been retouched in a black leather tone finish to perfectly match with the latest lenses and DSLR cameras.

With approx. 2 cm in height for the 1.4x type and 4cm for the 2x type these small, compact and convenient to carry tele converters will extend the focal length of the lens providing the photographer a great chance to shoot impressive images.

The Kenko HD pro DGX is a premium series of tele converters that replaces PRO 300 series and is specifically designed to be used with high-resolution DSLR cameras and lenses. KENKO TELEPLUS HD pro DGX Tele converter is a high precision manufactured optical device to be installed between the camera body and the master lens. Its purpose is to multiply the focal length of the lens according to its multiplication factor, changing your lens into a tele lens, with minimum loss of resolution and sharpness of the image. For example, the 1.4x Tele converter can turn a 70-200mm lens into a 98-280mm lens, and the 2x Tele converter can turn it into a 140-400mm lens.

Precautions

• Turn off the optical correction functions, Vibration Reduction (VR) or Image Stabilizer (IS) functions, focus aid assistance and AF micro adjustment functions before using Kenko TELEPLUS teleconverter.
• Proper work and accuracy of AF mode may be achieved when the lens has a resulting aperture* of f/5.6 or faster. If the resulting aperture is greater than f/5.6 then manual focus is strongly recommended.

* resulting aperture = wide open aperture value of the master lens x magnification of the lens converter.
