It would seem that there is nothing new to bring to the design of body cap lenses: they are always super-compact and lightweight lenses with a fixed pedestrian speed of F/5.6 or even slower, a simple optical formula that does not spoil the user with high resolution and excellent correction of aberrations, usually without a focusing ring and without the ability to use filters and hoods. However, SG-Image managed to surprise: its 18/6.3 model not only has a focusing tab and a focusing distance scale (albeit symbolic), but also has the ability to use 37mm filters directly or 49mm filters with the help of a dedicated round lens hood, which has a corresponding thread at the front. The lens has a fixed aperture, but its opening is not round, but pentagonal. Another interesting feature is the ability to order a design to be applied to the front of the lens: by default, this is the yin-yang symbol, but other images are also available. However, this will not affect the image quality in any way.
