Manufacturer description #1
A unique design based on an exclusive Canon lens formula which permits high speed and excellent wide angle coverage (64°). Excellent for color and black-and-white. Six elements, Spectra-coated in rigid mount. Click stops. Apertures from f:2.8 to f:22. Focusing range from 3.5 ft. to infinity.
Manufacturer description #2
A six-element 64 deg. wide angle lens constructed from an original Canon design, this lens represents a marked improvement on the old four element lenses. Color correction is almost complete. There is practically no coma throughout the image and the resolving power is excellent. No other lens of this type is capable of gathering so much light in the corners.
Manufacturer description #3
An exclusive Canon formula permitting high speed with excellent wide angle coverage (64 deg.). An excellent lens for color as well as black-and-white. Six elements in an non-collapsible non-revolving mount. Apertures from f:2.8 to f:22, with click stops. Focusing range from 3 1/2 feet to infinity: metric calibration 1 meter to infinity. Lens hood common with Canon 50 mm f:1.8 lens, provided series VI 34 mm adapter ring is used. Net weight 200 grams or 7.1 oz.
Manufacturer description #4
It is the ideal standard lens for the photographer who does not require a super-fast lens but who still demands that his photographs in black-and-white or in color be sharp to the very edges of the picture, without sacrifice of perfect definition.
