Manufacturer description
Here is a Komura "cat's eye" lens. Its remarkably large aperture of f/1.4 plus its longer focal length meets the challenge of taking pictures in extremely low light levels. The slightly longer focal length of the 85mm f/1.4 Komura allows you to get adequate image size, as for example large portrait heads, without your having to approach the subject too closely. This makes for better perspective. An excellent choice for photojournalism, theater work, candid portraits and whenever you want easy shooting under trying lighting conditions. Despite its ultra-wide aperture it produces crisp negatives and true-fidelity color photographs.
From the editor
A Direct Mount lens that was available for a number of SLR mounts. For a complete list of cameras/mounts, please refer to the page dedicated to the W-Komura 35/2.5 lens.
Later, a version with an interchangeable mount (so called "Unidapter" system) was released.
