A budget moderate wide-angle lens that covers a wide range of subjects from landscapes and architecture to full / mid-body portraits. The latter genre is facilitated by the ultra-fast speed of F/1.4, which makes possible a shallow depth of field and a smooth, eye-pleasing background blur. Night photography enthusiasts will also appreciate the maximum speed of this lens, as it does not require raising the ISO too high. When stopping down, 10 aperture blades will keep the out-of-focus highlight's a more rounded shape.
Judging by the focusing distance scale, most of which is occupied by marks from the closest distance to 1m, the lens is optimized for close-up shooting. The short closest focusing distance of 0.3m allows for close-ups of flowers and other small subjects.
The light weight (245g) and the overall length of only 40.5mm make this lens portable and convenient for casual or travel photography, if you don't mind focusing manually.
The lens accepts small 43mm screw-in filters and comes with a round vented screw-in lens hood.
The lens is also sold under the name "Cheecar MULTI COATED FF 35mm F1.4 II".
