From the editor

The six-element AF Nikkor 35mm f2 is a completely new design that equals the performance of manual focus Nikkor 35mm f2 lenses at the center but is somewhat inferior in the extreme corners. The AF version has a smaller front element and is significantly lighter at just 215g due to the use of lightweight materials in its construction.

Notes

  • The autofocus will not be available with Nikon D40, D40X, D60, D3000-D3500, D5000-D5600 digital SLR cameras.
