From the editor
A modified AF version fitted with a wider focusing ring, and a sliding switch toward the front of the lens to select either AF, or manual operation. In the AF mode, the focusing ring is locked, but in the manual focus mode the focus action suffers from the drag of AF mechanics. The lens barrel is constructed from metal and has the hammered finish of other top quality Nikkors. The optical construction of 8-element in six groups remained unchanged.
Notes
- The autofocus will not be available with Nikon D40, D40X, D60, D3000-D3500, D5000-D5600 digital SLR cameras.
