Manufacturer description
The МИР-26 lens expands the possibilities of working with КИЕВ-6С, КИЕВ-6С TTL, КИЕВ-60 TTL, КИЕВ 88 and КИЕВ 88 TTL cameras. It is a wide-angle eight-element optical system and allows you to take high-quality photos when shooting sports scenes, architectural ensembles, as well as in tight spaces, etc.
The lens is equipped with a diaphragm preset mechanism, which allows viewing and focusing at full aperture.
For КИЕВ 88 and КИЕВ 88 TTL cameras, a МИР-26В lens with a thread mount is available; for КИЕВ-6С, КИЕВ-6С TTL and КИЕВ-60 TTL cameras - a МИР-26Б, equipped with a breech-lock mount. The МИР-26Б lens can also be used with the PENTACON SIX camera.
Light transmission: 0.70. Resolving power, mm-1, no less than: in the center of the field: 45; at the edges of the field: 16.
From the editor
The lens was produced both by the Arsenal Plant (Kiev, USSR) and Vega Plant (Uman, USSR).
The following versions were available:
- МИР-26В 3.5/45 - with the Hasselblad M60x6 screw mount (a predecessor of the Hasselblad V bayonet mount);
- МИР-26 3.5/45 or МИР-26Б 3.5/45 or MIR-26B 3.5/45 (for export) - with the Pentacon Six bayonet mount.
One of the manufacturer's instructions lists a slightly different weight and size: 650g, ⌀86mm x 98mm.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the lens was sold under the names "ARSAT MC 1:3.5 45mm B" (with the Hasselblad M60x6 screw mount) and "ARSAT MC 1:3.5 45mm C" (with the Pentacon Six bayonet mount).
