Manufacturer description
The photographic lens МС МИР-24Н 2/35 is designed as an interchangeable lens for КИЕВ-17, КИЕВ-19 and КИЕВ-20 small-format SLR cameras.
The wide angle of view, large aperture and depth of field of the lens allow you to take high-quality photographs when shooting architectural ensembles, sports scenes, group shots, as well as when photographing in poor lighting conditions.
The lens has a special multi-layer coating (МС), which improves image quality and enhances its contrast by increasing the integral transmission and reducing scattering.
The lens is equipped with a device for automatically setting a preselected aperture value, which allows you to view and focus at fully open aperture. The device is kinematically connected to the camera and is triggered by pressing the shutter release button of the camera.
The delivery set includes an adapter with which the lens can be used for shooting with ЗЕНИТ-type cameras with М42х1 thread mount and a working distance of 45.5 mm (in this case, aperture presetting is not available).
Note: In case of using the lens with ЗЕНИТ-type cameras (М42х1 thread, working distance of 45.5 mm), replace the bayonet mount with the supplied adapter after unscrewing the screws.
Light transmission: 0.90. Resolving power, mm-1: at the center of the field: 50, at the edges of the field: 22.
From the editor
The lens was produced by the Arsenal Plant (Kiev, USSR) since approximately 1981 (in the magazine "Советское Фото" this year was indicated as the year of the planned start of production of the lens). At some point, production was also launched at the Vega Plant (Uman, USSR) and probably also at the Progress Plant (Nezhin, USSR).
Optically the lens is a slightly modified version of the Mir-24M 35/2 MC, but has the Nikon F mount and a shorter closest focusing distance of 0.24m.
