Manufacturer description #1
You have become the owner of an ultra wide-angle lens "МС Мир-20М".
The lens is essential for amateur and professional photographers who dream of creating artistic photographs with an expressive image of form and space. The lens provides good color reproduction and high image quality. It is necessary when photographing architectural ensembles, interiors, landscapes, for filming in museums.
Multi-layer coating on lens elements increases light transmission and eliminates ghosting and flare.
Manufacturer description #2
The "МС Мир-20М" is a compact interchangeable ultra wide-angle lens designed for SLR cameras with M42x1 thread mount, frame size 24x36 mm and working distance of 45.5 mm.
The lens has an automated pressure aperture that closes to a pre-set value when shooting and allows focusing at full aperture. Aperture switch allows you to shoot in manual mode.
An anti-reflective multi-layer coating applied to lens elements increases light transmission and reduces light scattering, which provides particularly favorable image contrast and sharpness, and largely eliminates ghosting, flare and light spots, even when photographing against light and objects with a large difference in brightness.
The lens has good color reproduction.
The lens is equipped with a set of filters to ensure high-quality images under various shooting conditions.
The lens is recommended for shooting on color, black-and-white and infrared films.
From the editor
An improved version of the original Mir-20M with a new barrel made of plastic, which resulted in a reduction in weight and dimensions, and a multi-layer anti-reflective coating, due to which the light transmission coefficient improved from 0.75 to 0.90. In all other respects, this multi-coated lens is no different from the original version.
In 1992, the lens was released in a small batch under the name "МС Мир-20К 3,5/20" and with the Pentax K mount.
