Manufacturer description
The "Мир-1" (2,8/37) lens is a high-speed wide-angle six-element anastigmat with an enlarged rear focal length. The lens elements are chemically coated.
Designed for small-format "Зенит" type SLR cameras with a frame size of 2,4 x 3,6 cm.
The "Мир-1" has a high resolving power and is a sharply drawing lens. Its resolving power is higher than that of the "Юпитер-12" lens, which has approximately the same image angle (about 60°).
A large field of view angle and high speed allow the lens to be used for shooting indoors from short distances, group and sports shooting, for technical and scientific photography, for various shooting without preliminary precise focusing, for photographing tall and horizon-wide architectural ensembles, etc..
Light transmission, no less than: 0,78.
Resolving power, lin/mm, no less than: in the center of the field: 45; at the edges of the field: 23.
From the editor
The lens was originally produced by the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant (USSR), but at some point, production was transferred to the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant (USSR).
Optically, the lens is based on the Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Flektogon 35/2.8.
The focusing ring, focusing distance scale and depth-of-field scale are located too close to the lens mount, so they are inconvenient to use.
