Manufacturer description
The useful wideangle focal length of 28mm is represented by two different Rokkor-X lenses, with the f/2 maximum aperture of the most elaborate making it one of the fastest 28mm lenses. The 28mm focal length is suitable for photographing the majority of wideangle subjects, and the construction of each of the two Rokkor-Xs is designed to enhance sharpness. Other desirable optical characteristic include corner-to-corner sharpness even at maximum aperture and at close focusing distances. The f/2 lens features the "floating" focusing system. The f/2.8 lens, very light and compact, incorporates an extra element in its last group to provide extra correction of aberration called coma and improved edge sharpness.
