- Closely follows the original classical "Nine Element" rendering with quality and modern improvements.
- New made in-house elements infused with fluorite elements. An extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element improves edge-to-edge rendering performance, dispersion, and distortion.
- Optimized for digital sensors, elimination of red-fringing phenomenon that occurred on the original Nine Element.
- The lens retains the classic body aesthetic, with a classic focus tab and infinity lock. The lens, it is now made with brass alloy construction.

In the description the manufacturer claims that the lens uses "new made in-house elements infused with fluorite elements", but in reality, of course, they mean special elements with characteristics similar to those of fluorite. The fact is that for serial production of lenses, expensive artificial fluorite is used, which is grown in laboratories, and today, as far as we know, only Canon and Nikon have such laboratories.
The lens comes with 12501-style lens hood, matching E49 UV filter in brass, matching front lens cap, matching deep rear lens cap.
