Manufacturer description
This lens not only offers high light transmission and superior definition but also eveness of illumination across the entire field-of-view. Its main areas of application are: internal and external architectural photography as well as industrial-, fashion-, reportage- and landscape- photograpy. The image angle of 92° offers dramatic effects: monumental foreground with strongly receding background.
From the editor
The lens was mentioned in the Leica M4-P booklet (PUB. 121.110-130) (August 1980) and the Handbook of the LEICA system (April 1981), but the specification given there appears to be erroneous. We filled out the specification based on the newer booklets.
The Handbook of the LEICA system (July 1982) lists lighter weight of 260g.
