From the editor
The classic lens that was reintroduced in 1994 for the special limited LEICA M6J silver chrome finish camera which celebrated 40 years of LEICA M cameras. It was the well-known ELMAR 4-element layout with the rear pair cemented. However, due to the use of modern highly refractive glass its performance is up to present-day standards. Only 1640 units were produced. Lens hood was supplied with the lens.
Notes
- All LEICA lenses having a focusing lever are automatically locked at the infinity position. This feature enables the camera to be used for infinity scenes and subjects without danger of the lens becoming accidentally out of focus due to unintentional movement. To release the lever for focusing on nearer planes press the knob at the end of the lever.
