2013, in a beautiful border town Passau in Bavaria state, Germany, our company’ founder Xiaoming Zhang met Klaus Eckerl in a mountain restaurant by the Danube river. They reached an agreement to make a world fastest artistic lens for all the photographers. At that moment, they lens was given the name IBELUX, which stands for a lens for extremely low light shooting. It was designed by IB/E OPTICS, which had many years of experience for precision manufacturing and mechanic designing. After 200 days and nights sample making and testing again and again, KIPON launched first version IBELUX40mm f0.85. This highly sophisticated product created a lot of excitement in the world of photography at that time.

The characteristic of the lens:

1. Consisting 10 pieces of glasses in 8 groups to achieve high quality image with telecentric design, special concave design for first glass in the front.

2. Nice and creamy bokeh.

3. Impeccable light transmission in low-light environment.

4. Precisely seizing the focus point under extremely shallow depth with 270-degree rotation distance only used in pro-cine lenses.

5. Built-in Swiss-German made bearing focus system allowing focus ring to go smoothly and precisely.

When aperture widely open, especially for those high speed lenses, some situations usually occur like chromatic aberration, purple fringe,also under strong light environment, irregular glare easily happens when point the lens towards light source. Based on the improvement of Mark II, Mark III has made a great progress in these optic difficulties, in addition to higher resolution comparing to former versions, Ibelux mark III comes out to be a dreamy lens for artistic creative photography.

This IBELUX Mark Ill lens is the fastest lens in the world, designed for portrait and art photographers. Many special and artistic ideas can be realized with this lens. Users think the unique creamy effect is very romantic and sweet. The best performance will be achieved in the focal distance of 2.5m through the aperture of 5.6.

Mark Ill has solved the irregular light reflection/diffusion problem and greatly improved the purple fringe when aperture is fully opened directly to the strong light. The optical quality has been enhanced for much higher resolution to let the photographers create their perfect works.

The IBELUX Mark Ill lens has the biggest aperture of 0.85 in the world and focal length of 40mm. IBE Optics, a well-known German optic company, is in charge of the design of this lens. KIPON factory manufactures and assembles the lenses, and realizes the mass production.

The IBELUX 40mm f0.85 Mark III is constructed of 10 elements in 8 groups and 10 blade aperture for smooth bokeh at all apertures. The barrel is constructed of an aluminum outer frame, brass core and a stainless steel mount.

Comparing to former versions: Version III has totally new coatings both inside and out. What this now means is the lens is much more versatile than it once was, and you can take it pretty much anywhere and shoot pretty much anything without any serious flaring or loss of detail that comes from that.
