With a 35mm equivalent focal length of 23-24mm (depending on sensor size), this lens covers a wide range of subjects from landscapes and cityscapes to buildings and interiors. The KamLan 15/2 is also capable of street photography. In the latter case, it will be convenient to set the hyperfocal distance on the focusing ring, after which you will only have to press the shutter button at the right moment.
The short closest focusing distance of 0.3m allows you to take wide-angle shots of small subjects with an unusual perspective.
The moderate weight (282g) and overall length of 56mm make this lens portable and convenient for casual or travel photography, if you don't mind focusing manually.
The convex front element means that filters cannot be used. However, the lens has a built-in petal hood that protects the front element from both unwanted stray light and damage.
