Manufacturer description
Photographic lens МС КАЛЕЙНАР-5Н 2,8/100 is intended for use as an interchangeable lens for КИЕВ-17, КИЕВ-19 and КИЕВ-20 small-format reflex cameras. It is a long-focus five-lens optical system and allows you to get high-quality photographs when shooting portraits, sports scenes, architectural ensembles; when photographing plants, animals, birds, as well as reportage shooting from long distances.
The lens has a special multi-layer coating (MC), which improves image quality and enhances its contrast by increasing the integral transmission and reducing scattering.
The lens is equipped with a device for automatically setting a pre-selected aperture value, which allows viewing and focusing at a fully open aperture. The device is kinematically connected to the camera and fires when the shutter release button is pressed.
The lens kit includes an adapter, with which it can be used with ЗЕНИТ-type cameras with the М42х1 connecting thread and a working distance of 45.5 mm (in this case, aperture presetting is not available). When using the lens with ЗЕНИТ-type cameras, replace the lens mount with the included adapter after unscrewing the screws.
Light transmission: 0.90. Resolving power, mm-1: at the center of the field: 50, at the edges of the field: 30.
From the editor
The lens was produced in the 1980s and until 1991 or 1992, both by the Arsenal Plant (Kiev, USSR) and Progress Plant (Nezhinsk, USSR). First shown at the Moscow Inter-Republican Wholesale Fair of Cultural Goods in 1983. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the lens was produced by the Vega Plant (Uman, Ukraine) under the new name "ARSAT H 1:2.8 100mm".
