Manufacturer description
The "Юпитер-11А" (4/135) lens is a four-element anastigmat of medium speed. The lens elements are chemically coated.
Designed as an interchangeable long-focus lens for small-format cameras with a frame format of 24x36 mm. Produced in a barrel for SLR cameras of the "Зенит" type. The barrel has an interchangeable adapter which increases the possibility of using the lens..
Due to its long focal length, the lens can be used for many types of amateur and reportage shooting, for shooting distant objects, architectural details, outdoor shooting of plants, wildlife and birds, long-distance reportage and sports photography, as well as for portraiture and crowd scenes. The lens is always useful in cases where you need to take a large scale image, and when photographing an object you cannot get close enough to it.
Light transmission, no less than: 0,82.
Resolving power, lin/mm, with the "КН-1" film, no less than: in the center: 43; at the edges: 29.
From the editor
The lens was produced by the Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant (USSR).
Optically, the lens is a copy of the Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Sonnar 135mm F/4.
The aperture ring provides continuous aperture adjustment without click-stops.
To pre-set the aperture, at F/22 setting, move the aperture ring towards the focusing ring, set the desired aperture, and then release the ring.
Notes
- The lens has an interchangeable mount that is mechanically identical to the T2 interchangeable mount. In the USSR, the following interchangeable mount adapters were produced: "КП-А/42" (T2 - M42x1/45.5), "КП-А/39" (T2 - M39x1/45.2), "КП-А/К" (T2 - Pentax K), "КП-А/Н" (T2 - Nikon F). "КП" is an abbreviation for "Кольцо переходное", which means "Adapter ring".
