Manufacturer description
The photographic lens "Индустар-50-2" is intended for mounting on "Зенит"-type cameras with a frame size of 24x36 mm. It is used to perform various types of shooting.

As the Industar-50, but with the M42 screw mount and thread for 35.5mm filters.
This Soviet pancake is comparable in image quality, and sometimes even surpasses the standard zoom lenses of modern digital SLR cameras. But there are nuances: for correct color rendition, it is recommended to use manual white balance settings, otherwise the image will be saturated with yellow shades. In addition, you should avoid bright light sources in the frame, of course, unless you are a hunter for huge rainbow glare. The image contrast is average. The artistic component is at a decent level: the bokeh is soft, slightly swirling. When shooting at close distances, you can achieve strong blurring of the background. And with a set of macro rings, you can take excellent macro shots. Of course, you can find many shortcomings of the Industar-50-2, but for its sharpness, compactness and ridiculously low price you can forgive it everything!
The aperture ring provides continuous aperture adjustment without click-stops.
Light transmission: 0.80. Resolving power, mm-1, not less than: in the center of the field: 35, at the edges of the field: 22.
