Manufacturer description

The ZOOM ARSAT M 4,5/80-200 photographic lens is intended as an interchangeable lens for ЗЕНИТ type cameras with a frame format of 24x36 mm and a working distance of 45.5mm, having an automatic diaphragm and an М42х1 mounting thread.

ZOOM ARSAT M is a 2.5x zoom lens covering the range of focal lengths of the most commonly used long-focus lenses. During shooting, it provides the ability to select any focal length in the range from 80 to 200mm. Thanks to this, you can accurately position the photographed object in the frame without moving the camera to another shooting point, which is especially important when working with reversal film.

When changing the focal length, the sharpness of the picture is preserved.

The lens has a special multi-layer coating that improves image quality and enhances its contrast by increasing integral transmission and reducing scattering.

The lens is equipped with a pre-set aperture mechanism, which allows for viewing and focusing with the aperture fully open. The device is kinematically connected to the camera and is triggered by pressing the camera's release button.

The lens is relatively small in size, lightweight and convenient for handheld shooting.

The lens operates in a temperature range from -15 to +45° C.

The lens was produced by the Arsenal Plant (USSR). After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the lens was sold under the name "ZOOM ARSAT M 1:4.5 80-200mm".
