From the "СОВЕТСКОЕ ФОТО" (No. 10, 1986)
Two lenses with the type "K" bayonet mount were demonstrated at the stands of the Kazan Trade and Wholesale Base: МС "Юпитер-37К" 3.5/135 and "Фодис-1К" 1.8/135. We were allowed to work with the new "Фодис-1К" at the fair. The results were good, the high speed of this lens allows shooting in difficult lighting conditions. This lens will be indispensable for photojournalists and experienced amateur photographers, and we would like to wish for the fastest possible launch of its production.
LENS-DB: The МС "Юпитер-37К" 3.5/135 was never put into mass production.
From the editor
The origin of the name is unknown. The pilot batch was produced by the Kazan Optical-Mechanical Plant (USSR) in 1986. The lens was announced in early 1988 in the magazine "Советское Фото", production was planned to begin in the same year. In 1990, the second pilot batch was released. Due to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the economic situation changed and the lens was never mass-produced.
Light transmission: 0.9. Resolving power, lines/mm: 50/30 (center/edges).
