Die Blende wird mit der Entfernungseinstellung automatisch so gesteuert, daß das Offnungsverhältnis über den ganzen Einstellbereich konstant bleibt, die Belichtungszeit also bei Nahaufhahmen keiner nachträglichen Korrektur bedarf.
Das Flektogon 2,8/35 mm hat einen besonders langen Auszug. Ohne Zwischenringe und Vorsatzlinsen sind deshalb Aufnahmen bis zu 0,18 m Entfernung (Obiekt bis Filmebene) möglich. Bei dieser Aufnahmeentfernung wird ein Abbildungsmaßstab von 1:2 erreicht.
Für das Flektogon 2,8/35 mm liefern wir das Filter 51W (aufsteckbar) oder M58 (einschraubbar), letzteres ist zusammen mit den Zwischenringen M49/M58 oder 51/M58 zu benutzen. Außerdem wird eine Spezialsonnenblende M58 W - aufsteck - oder einschraubbar - geliefert. Andere Filter und Sonnenblenden vignettieren!

The aperture is automatically controlled with the distance setting so that the aperture ratio remains constant over the entire setting range, meaning that the exposure time does not require any subsequent correction when taking close-up photos.
The Flektogon 2.8/35 mm has a particularly long extension. Without intermediate rings and additional lenses, images can be taken at a distance of up to 0.18 m (object to film plane). At this shooting distance, an image magnification of 1:2 is achieved.
For the Flektogon 2.8/35 mm we supply the filter 51W (clip-on) or M58 (screw-in), the latter can be used together with the intermediate rings M49/M58 or 51/M58. A special M58 W lens hood - clip-on or screw-in - is also supplied. Other filters and lens hoods cause vignetting!
From the editor
A version released after the final recalculation in 1960. Compared to the predecessor, it has a new design of the lens barrel, an automatic diaphragm with 5 (five) blades, and a shorter closest focusing distance of 0.18m (with a reproduction ratio of 1:2!).
The lens existed in the following finish types:
- TYPE 2: aluminum finish or black enamel with hard plastic focusing ring with raised ovals. The aperture ring is aluminum with orange filled engraving. The aperture and focusing distance scales are red and white filled engraving.
- TYPE 3 (from 1965): black enamel with alternating aluminum bands on focusing and aperture rings. The aperture ring is aluminum with black filled engraving. The aperture and focusing distance scales are orange and white filled engraving.
