Manufacturer description
"Зоркий-4К" is a single-lens rangefinder camera designed for various amateur and professional shooting on black-and-white and color film.
The camera has a shutter winding lever, a self-timer, and a synchronization mechanism for flashes.
The field of view of the viewfinder is combined with the field of view of the rangefinder. The viewfinder is equipped with diopter adjustment to the photographer's eye. This viewfinder design ensures accurate focusing.
Focusing the lens is achieved directly by rotating its focusing ring, while the rangefinder device works automatically regardless of the focal length of the lens.
A new type of take-up spool greatly simplifies loading the device with film.
The camera is designed to use standard cassettes with a constant slit.
The camera is available in two versions: with "Индустар-50" or "Юпитер-8" lens.

From the editor
As the Zorki-4, but with a shutter winding lever, and a non-removable take-up spool.
The camera was produced by the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant (USSR) from 1972 to 1978, and in 1980. In total, according to KMZ, 524,646 units were produced.
The weight and dimensions are indicated for the camera body with the "Индустар-50".
***
In 1976, to commemorate the XXV Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (February 24 - March 5, 1976), a special limited Zorki-4K was produced. The exact number of bodies released is unknown, but it is known that 4,998 delegates attended the Congress. Apart from the commemorative emblem, the camera was no different from the mass-produced version.
