Manufacturer description #1

The Rolleiflex 6006 - the most advanced 2 1/4" SLR available today.

The 6006 combines traditional German craftsmanship with the latest technical innovations such as... TTL (Through The Lens) metering for flash and ambient light, interchangeable film magazines with an integrated darkslide system and safety interlocks, the widest shutter speed range available in a leaf shutter camera (1/500 to 30 seconds plus bulb) and an integrated shutter priority exposure system that maintains full automation regardless of the viewfinder in use.

The 6006 offers the fastest built-in motor drive in a medium format camera. It transports the film after each exposure at a rate of 1.5 frames per second. A fuII range of Carl Zeiss lenses with HFT coating (second generation multi-coating) are available as part of the system. They do not rely upon pins and levers to operate, but feature gold plated contacts which instantly transmit shutter speed and aperture information from the integrated computer in the body to the lens diaphragm and shutter. Linear motors in the lens then precisely set the aperture and shutter speeds. In addition, the linear motors enable the lenses to operate at an incredible 10 exposures per second on a single frame with the ME-1 accessory control.

And, in manual operation, the Zeiss lenses can achieve detented accuracy in 1/3 stops... the only lenses to do so.

The 6006 is also the only medium format camera to offer interchangeable film magazines with a built-in darkslide designed to retract and store in the magazine itself. The user, therefore, need not worry about the slide being lost or damaged. The darkslide system also incorporates safety interlocks which prevent camera operation when the darkslide is in place and permits the magazine to be removed. In the same way, when the darkslide is retracted, the magazines cannot be removed.

The same inexpensive film inserts used on the SLX are identical in the 6006 and loading is just as easy.

A true system camera, the Rollei 6006 utilizes the full line of Carl Zeiss optics available for the Rollei SLX, as well as most of the accessories. This includes prism finders, multiple exposure controls, NiCd battery packs, lens shades and filters.

The Rollei 6006 offers even the most demanding professional those features necessary to expand their creativity.
