A Japanese Leica copy produced by Nippon Camera Works* from 1948 to 1954. Rough estimates suggest that no more than 4,000 bodies were released in total. Differs from the earlier Nippon (RF, VF, 3) and Nicca Original models in the increased magnification of the rangefinder (1.5x), as well as addition of the dioptre adjustment and click stops to the slow shutter speed dial. The camera body was accompanied by the collapsible Nikkor-Q 50/3.5, collapsible Nikkor-H 50/2 or Nikkor-S 50/1.5 standard lenses.
* - At the end of 1948 the company name was changed to Nicca Camera Works, and in 1951 to Nicca Camera Company.
In 1950, at the request of Peerless Photo Supply, this camera was produced in a small batch under the name Peerless 3 and was supplied with Sun Sophia 50/2 lenses.
