Manufacturer description
The "Мир" camera is intended for a wide variety of shooting and can satisfy the demands of qualified amateur photographers, photo reporters and scientists.
The "Мир" camera is a portable small-format film camera equipped with a synchronizer and self-timer.
"Мир" is designed to work with 35mm perforated film. The cassette holds 1.65m of film and makes it possible to take 36 photographs measuring 24x36mm.
The camera is supplied with "Индустар-50" or "Индустар-26М" coated lenses. Focal length of lenses - 5cm, relative apertures - 1:3,5 and 1:2,8.
The "Мир" camera has a combined viewfinder and rangefinder, mechanically coupled to the lens. This device guarantees focusing accuracy. To improve the accuracy of the rangefinder, its optical system is magnified and diopter adjustment is introduced.
Focusing of lenses is achieved by direct rotation of the lens barrel, while the rangefinder device works automatically regardless of the focal length of the interchangeable lens.
The "Мир" camera is equipped with a curtain shutter, which allows you to obtain instant shutter speeds from 1/500 sec. up to 1/30 sec. and long exposures.

As the Zorki-4, but without slow shutter speeds. As for the top shutter speed, for most units it was 1/500th of a second, but sometimes 1/1000th was also present.
The camera was produced by the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant (USSR) from 1959 to 1961. In total, according to KMZ, 156,229 units were produced.
The weight and dimensions are indicated for the camera body with the "Индустар-50" lens.
