Manufacturer description
Tokyo (September 19, 2000)-Konica Corporation will unveil its plan to release an exclusive limited line of 2001 units of the Konica HEXAR RF Limited in 2001, at the Photokina 2000 to be held from September 20 to 25 in Kln, Germany.
The Limited features a limited edition of the popular HEXAR RF camera, Konica's new flagship model, with a specially colored body. This color enhances the feeling of luxury of the HEXAR RF's corrosion and shock-resistant titanium exterior. Also included-and available only in this kit-is a 50mm/f1.2 M-HEXANON lens, which has a viewing angle equivalent to that of the human eye.
Konica originally developed the HEXAR RF in response to demand for a camera model with an interchangeable lens that would give users the ability to pursue their creativity and functionality at an advanced level. Since its launch, the HEXAR RF has proven extremely popular with professionals and amateur photographers alike.
The HEXAR RF features a number of automatic functions including precision automatic exposure and a near-silent film transport mechanism. Together with offering the advantages of manual operation which give photographers complete control over capturing the shots they envision directly in their photographs.
The interchangeable M-HEXANON lens series is characterized by crisp yet warm image qualities. In addition to offering a range of creative expression, these lenses and the HEXAR RF camera provide a strong cost/benefit performance. Praised as "a camera that offers a fascinating range of photographic expression", the HEXAR RF has received three major awards in Japan and Europe.
