Manufacturer description

Camera Type: Direct metering, Auto exposure type, Range finder 35 mm camera with interchangeable lenses.

Shutter: Digital-control vertical action electronic metal blade focal plane shutter.

Synchro: Hot shoe and Direct X contact. Automatically set to 1/125 sec with dedicated electronic flash at AE mode. Manually set to 1/125 sec and slower shutter speeds non-dedicated electronic flash.

Exposure metering method: Center weighted TTL metering (SPD used).

Exposure coupling range: (ISO100, F2) EV1-EV18.

Viewfinder: Real image distance meter type, Reverse Galileo type finder, Field of vision: 85% (at 3 m), Magnification: 0.6X. Interactive distance: 0.7m - infinity.

Display in viewfinder: Shutter speed, LED dot display indicator. Flash ready signal (for dedicated electronic flash). Exposure compensation signal. AE mode; LED dot display indicates correct shutter speed, Manual mode; LED dot display indicates correct shutter speed and expected shutter speed.

Eye sight range: 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, 90mm, 135mm, with illuminated bright frame (possible to switch manually) and automatic parallax correction.

Distance measuring meter: Split-image and double image range finder.

The following lenses were released for the HEXAR RF:

A special HEXAR RF Limited camera in silver chrome finish was released in 2001 units in January 2001. The camera body was accompanied by the matching M-HEXANON 50mm F/1.2 Limited lens.
