Big 6 X 4.5cm Film Format

Bigger means sharper. The GS645S Professional pulls down images on a frame size nearly three times that of 35mm film. Greater detail clarity is assured, even in big enlargements. The camera accepts either 15-exposure 120 or 30-exposure 220 roll film. The 6 x 4.5 format matches photographic paper proportions, so it means greater printing convenience with no-waste economy.

Lightweight Handling Ease

The GS645S Professional weighs only 750 grams lighter than many 35mm SLRs. This goes with the compact body styling to give you extra maneuverability Tough field assignments are easier to handle, and long photographic sessions are less tiring. The steel tubing lens guard gives the camera a rugged charm and affords better protection against shocks. The solid palm grip provides sure, steady handling at high speed, and makes it equally easy to shoot vertical and horizontal frames.

The new 5-component 7-element design assures finer detail resolution than ever. The 60-degree angle of view takes in the same broad view as a 37.5mm lens in a 35mm camera. 3-Point LED Exposure Control

The sensitive GPD photocell meter provides quick, centrally weighted reading for precise exposure settings. The 3-point LED display in the viewfinder helps you stay on top of situations, quickly adapting to any light changes. A slight pressure on the shutter release is all it takes to activate the meter.

Bright Viewfinder for Easy Composition

The view through the GS645S Professional's uncluttered viewfinder is exceptionally bright. This makes composition easy even when you are shooting in low light. No worries about parallax errors, either, because the GS645S comes with a rare feature of parallax self-correction. The double-image focusing spot in the center provides quick and accurate focusing, with the bright view again helping to keep you ahead.

Foolproof Self-Cocking Shutter

With the GS645S Professional, you never have to worry about double exposure. Because, after an exposure, the shutter won't cock unless you wind the film advance lever to bring up the next frame. An elementary design feature, perhaps, but still a useful one to protect your valuable pictures.

Versatile Flash Exposures

The GS645S Professional's lens shutter allows flash shooting at all speeds not just one or two fixed speeds as on a 35 mm camera. The range of flash subjects are limitless, and effects such as daylight synchro, highlight emphasis and fill-in for backlight scenes can be accomplished at will. The camera accepts any type of electronic flash via top hot shoe or front X-sync socket.

Simplified Film Loading

The GS645S Professional gives you the convenience of simplified film loading. You just push a small button at the base of the film chamber, and you no longer have to pull and push the film advance lever when loading or removing a roll.

The newly designed 45mm f/5.6 lens comes with a unique pan-focus capability, which makes focusing easy and provides greater control over depth of field. A mere 680 grams in weight, the GS645W is still all that a 6 x 4.5 camera should be, with many of the same features found in the GS645 and GS645S.
